Rapper
Sarkodie has been in the news for both the bad and good reasons.
With the bad reasons, he takes
the media on by giving them a piece of their own cake on his social media
handles but the New Guy rapper says he has taken a new leaf.
According to him, he has come
to realize that controversies actually boost his business.
“I did not like
controversies at first, they got to me but I have come to terms with the fact
that, they actually boost your business. An example is my collaboration with
Ace Hood on the song New Guy.Due to the news around it,
it got a lot of downloads and views,” he said in an interview with Bassiwa and
Kafui Dey on GhOne Today.
In an answer to how he has been
consistent in the music industry, he said; “I am just focused.”
Sarkodie has
been nominated twice at the BET Music Awards and has won one. He
performed at 2014 BET Awards pre-jams.
