The former Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Stars forward
Prince Tagoe has finally responded to allegations leveled against him by
Choirmaster, the former leader of the award-winning hiplife group, Praye.
‘The Prince
of goals,’ as he was affectionately known during his days as the leading
striker at Accra Hearts of Oak, made this revelation on Hitz FM.
“If he says
I owe him , he should just remember the first time he met me,” he added further
that he is still friends with Kente and Big Jay, but Eugene is just being
ungrateful and needs some public attention for his career as a musician.
The one-time
goal king of the Ghana Premier League stated emphatically that, he had to give
‘Choirmaster’ money to settle his rent because he his rent was due and he was
being chased out of his house.
“I had an
agreement with the group Praye during their album launch, but I had to travel
outside the country to continue playing football, so things didn’t work out as
we planned earlier so I called Big Jay and gave him new number so we keep in
touch,” he narrated. He recounted his experiences with the senior national team
and confirmed the use of black magic by most players against their team mates.
“some
players sleep and mention the names of fellow team mates in their dreams,” he
disclosed.
He explained
his relationship with the reigning artist of the year Stonebwoy, whom he has
known since 2009, describing him as a family.
The
celebrated footballer who played in the U A E and Germany disclosed his current
involvement in charity and a possible return to club football.
