Last night was a great one for Stonebwoy, E.L, Jojo Aboy and
Mr. Eazi. They shared the stage with Grammy winner Lauryn Hill at
the King’s Theatre, Brooklyn, United States of America.
It was the
climax of Diaspora Calling! a
three-day series of music and art experiences which was organized by Ms. Hill
in association with streaming service, Tidal.
Stephen
Marley, WondaBoy and many others also performed at the event which was
streamed live on Tidal.
“Diaspora
Calling! is a collection of works intended to celebrate the rich tapestry of
artists from the African Diaspora while also illumining persistent and
irrepressible themes…
Even if we work independently, we are a resounding
collective voice, both reconciling and embracing our relationship to history,
our origins, our future and to ourselves.” said Hill of the event.
DJ Juls was
on the turntables doing his own thing. It was hosted by comedian Eddie
Kadi.
