Former X Factor finalists Reggie
N Bollie – who were runners-up last year while Louisa Johnson won – have
revealed that their debut single ‘New Girl’ has been chosen by shopping giant
Littlewoods to feature in their summer 2016 ad campaign.
As you can see in
the clip below, Reggie N Bollie teamed up with Mylene Klass to film the summery
advert.
However, ahead of
that, the duo announced that ‘New Girl’ would be their post X Factor debut
single, and evidently, they have been delighted by the positive response it has
received from fans.
Taking to Twitter,
the boys wrote, “Guys! Your reaction to #NewGirl has been incredible. So
#blessed!”
Reggie N Bollie
were of course in Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s Groups category last year,
alongside Filipino sister act, 4th Impact, who have, like Reggie N Bollie, gone
on to further establish their place in the music industry
Both acts took part
in this year’s X Factor Live Tour, and while Reggie N Bollie have pipped 4th
Impact to the debut single post, it’s widely expected that 4th Impact – who are
sisters Almira, Celina, Mylene and Irene – will announce they have a record
deal within the next few months.
As yet, Reggie N
Bollie’s former mentor Cheryl hasn’t made any comment about their single, or
the fact it’s been chosen by Littlewoods, but we have no doubt she will be
proud of her protégés.
During Reggie N
Bollie’s time on X Factor though, Cheryl was accused of favouring the duo over
her other acts, and even show boss Simon Cowell was slated by some of the
show’s fans for seemingly “promoting” Reggie N Bollie, who were the ‘type’ of
act that ordinarily, Simon would deem to be the ‘novelty’ act of the year.
But regardless of
how anyone felt about Reggie N Bollie’s time on X Factor, there’s no denying
that ‘New Girl’ is catchy!
