REGGIE N BOLLIE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE NEW SINGLE ‘NEW GIRL’

X  factor 2015 Finalist Reggie N Bollie have officially announced their new single ‘New Single’ set for release on May 13, 2016.

The song which has a carnival rhythm will be released by Simon Cowell’s Syco Music. The duo were in Ghana over the weekend to shoot the video for the song directed by Prince Dovlo and Sesan Ogunro starring Deborah Vanessa.

They spoke to Antoine Mensah about why they shot the video in Ghana.
“The great thing is the label said you know what, they’ve done a lot of research on our country Ghana.
It’s a beautiful place, they just want to make sure our first video is able to communicate that to the world and so we it will be a lot of tourist attraction for different places.

They are trying to capture the Ghanaian vibe, the atmosphere, that youthfulness and smiles on the faces of Ghanaians and we so proud that through us people get to see and experience the Ghanaian culture in a very positive way.”

Before Reggie Zippy and Bollie made it to the world stage as finalists on the reality music show, X Factor UK, they were champions in their own rights, boasting quite a number of hits songs on the Ghanaian music industry.

Early 2015, the two decided to work together and change their musical fortunes after a long break. They auditioned at Britain’s Got Talent but didn’t make the mark.

They decided to give music another shot, this time on X Factor UK. They impressed the judges and made it as one of 12 contestants, ultimately making it to the finale.

Simon Cowell after one of their performances tweeted:  I LOVE Reggie and Bollie
They mashed up What makes you Beautiful with Cheerleader. Sounds crazy but it was fantastic.

Initially known as Menn on Point when they auditioned for the show, they changed their name to Reggie N Bollie.
They are made up of Reggie Zippy, who is famous for the song ‘Virgin’ and Bollie of ‘you may kiss the bride’ fame, a song off a compilation project by veteran music producer Hammer.
